I designed this UI for an interactive kiosk. The key feature of the design's architecture is the vertical tab layout at right.

My primary objective in designing the tab layout was to make optimal use of the landscape format while providing an intuitive means for navigating the presentation according to a two-level content hierarchy. First, I placed both a single line and a margin between each of the navigation tabs so as to isolate each tabs clearly. Then, I used white to set off an active tab from the red default tabs so as to highlight the active tab while indicating the location of its corresponding pages with reference to the overall structure. Lastly, I used a gray background for the sub-navigation tab in its default state to distinguish from the active tab.
