During the last leg of the design phase when producing this website, the client's legal team requested an interstitial page to alert the viewer to the independent nature of the third-party resources connected to the website. Be that may a disclaimer mumbo jumbo, the client's implicit message was to encourage healthcare professionals to consult the medical resources. So, I needed to devise a strategy to privilege the Continue button linked to the resources and de-emphasize the Cancel button.

  1. I emphasized the favored CTA by placing it on the right, at the terminal area of the Gutenberg Diagram (the end point of the reader's typical scanning pattern), for stronger reading gravity.
  2. I used a bright green color for the Continue button so as to make it leap off the page toward the reader and overpower the subdued, recessive grey of Cancel.
  3. I afforded the Continue more visual weight by setting its normal typeface against the knockout text of Cancel.

These are some of the ways I sought to organize hierarchy of actions that satisfies the client's guidelines.
